As part of the UAE policy, Emirates students are provided with free education whether they are studying in the UAE or abroad.

Diversified education is seen as an important aspect for the UAE people. Though there are many renowned universities in the UAE, studying abroad not only encourages academic learning, it provides the cultural knowledge which students will gain as part of their studies in different countries such as Australia and New Zealand. Cultural diversity allows the students to bring back their experiences and embrace that with their own cultural learnings. This creates a great cultural understanding and relationship between countries; it also gives students the chance to make friends around the world.

Many departments from the UAE sponsor UAE students to study in Australia and New Zealand, including:

  • Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research,
  • Abu Dhabi Investment Authority,
  • Armed Forces General Headquarters,
  • General Authority for Medical Services,
  • United Arab Emirates University,
  • Dubai Municipality,
  • The Ruler’s Court – Government of Dubai,
  • Department of Planning,
  • Ministry of Interiors,
  • Department of Civil Aviation, and
  • General Authority for Roads and Transportation.

The Cultural Section looks after a large number of UAE students studying at all different levels including Undergraduate, Postgraduate courses, and training programs which the students attend at either an Australian or New Zealand institute.
